L.H. JONES PASSES AWAY

Llewellyn H. Jones, 59, farmer and well known citizen passed away Wednesday night at 11:30 after an illness extending over several years.

Mr. Jones was born and grew up on the farm on which he lived all his life as did also his father before him.  During his life and as long as his health permitted he was active in the social, political and fraternal life of the community.Mr. Jones was a gentleman of culture and refinement.  His education was gained in the public schools and at Antioch College.  All his acts were of high purpose and sympathy with his fellowmen.  He was a kindly, generous, courteous gentleman, and held a high place in the estimation of all who knew hm.

Mr. Jones long served the community in a public capacity.  He had been school director, Township trustee, member of the local masonic lodge, Master and trustee of it, member of the K. of P. Lodge at Clifton, member of the Presbyterian church, besides taking an active interest in various farm organizations.

Surviving are: Mrs. Jones, who before marriage was Miss Lila Reed; an adopted daughter, Evelyn; a sister, Mrs. Eva Baker, of Denver, Col.; a brother, A.W. Jones, of Chillicothe.

A Masonic funeral service was held at the home Thursday evening.  Friday afternoon at 2:30 services will be held at the home conducted by Rev. Simmons.  Burial at Glen Forest.
