Mrs. Sophrina (sic) Carr, wife of Wm. Carr, died, Friday morning January 15th, at 2 o’clock, of pneumonia, after a long and severe illness.  Mrs. Carr was 83 years, 5 months, and 4 days of age.  She was one of Yellow Springs’ pioneer citizens and was known and loved by a wide circle of friends and acquaintances.  The last few years of her life were of much suffering to her, as she has been an almost helpless invalid since 1892 or ‘3.  The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock, at the residence on Xenia Ave.
